December 19th, 2009 Good reviews for new Werewolf novel

My viking werewolf novel has been generating some very good press on its advanced review copies.

Adam Roberts – the guy who caused a furore last year when he described the Hugo shortlist as unadventurous and conservative, has called the book ‘a classic’.

He says: This is not a run of the mill Fantasy text; nor, really, is it even a riff upon those worn-smooth tropes. It is something genuinely estranging, eerie, evocative.

Joe Abercrombie has been nice about it too:

And early signs from other early readers are very good too, so I’m tremendously excited by this.

    Hello Mr Barrowcliffe,

I was directed to your website today in an unusual course of events and I’ve got to say that your book sounds very interesting. I’m looking forward to reading it.

Something else that caught my attention is that your website uses the Dungeons and Dragons Character Generator I wrote. Which was a bit of a surprise. I wonder if you’d be willing to drop me an e-mail so we can talk a little about your book, and about the character generator. You can reach me at jsmith AT resonatingmedia DOT com

    Hoping to hear form you,
    Jesse
